Your colleagues would like to integrate technology so as to enrich the learning opportunity of their students. They would like to be informed of some of the latest digital trends and tools in learning and teaching and to see examples of how these are applicable with students.

Your task :-

Suggest ONE of the latest digital tools in learning and teaching according to your friend's context. Based on your choice, explain why the tool will be most applicable to their situation/context. You also need to provide THREE reasons for the chosen tool.

As a teacher, we should know about educational technology in teaching and learning process. A teacher need to be skills in use of productivity tools for their teaching method. According to The Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), Educational technology is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using and managing appropriate technological processes and resources. Educational technology has three domains of use which is Technology as a tutor. For example, computer gives instructions and guides the user. Secondly, Technology as a teaching tool and the last is Technology as a learning tool.

My suggestion for the latest digital tools in teaching and learning is Blendspace where it will enrich the learning opportunity for the students. Blendspace is a tool that provides many possibilities and initially used it as a method of curating resources and flipping my classroom. There are similar tools available, and regardless of which you choose, having one place to keep your resources is a really great idea.

The reason why I choose Blendspace for colleaguese because this method is easy to use flip on their classroom. So, it can be used as a way to flip the classroom and to save that vital classroom time for student interactions, engaging activities, or having students work independently while teachers facilitate their activities and provide feedback one-on-one. Moreover, Blendspace also useful for present student work in class. Blendspace is the best way to avoid fumbling with flash drives, losing valuable class time opening emails and attachments. So that, all of the student projects can be added by their URL or uploaded into one lesson, given it a title, and in class, only one lesson has to be opened to display the student work for the class to enjoy. Next, blendspace also useful for build the lesson in the teaching and learning process. Blendspace is the way to building a lesson for any level and it will become easier with using Blendspace. For example, they will search and get more information with any resouces such as using Google Chrome and so on.
